Le palmarès des meilleures partitions pour 2020 selon les membres de l’International Film Music Critics Association a été dévoilé ce jeudi 18 février et nous ne pouvons que nous réjouir de retrouver le nom de Bruno Coulais parmi les gagnants, sa très belle contribution au Wolfwalkers (Le Peuple Loup) pour le film du du réalisateur Tomm Moore décrochant la première place dans la catégorie Meilleure Partition pour un Film d’Animation. Pour le reste, la sélection finale s’avère assez éclectique, Christopher Willis sortant sans doute grand gagnant grâce à The Personal History of David Copperfield qui lui vaut deux prix dont celui, convoité, de Meilleure Partition de l’Année, tandis que Daniel Pemberton et Thomas Clay sont désignés respectivement Compositeur et Révélation de l’Année. Enfin, notons que ce sont les espagnols de Quartet Records qui récoltent cette fois le prix du Label de l’Année, mettant fin à la prééminence de l’équipe de La-La Land Records, lauréate les trois années précédentes.
