Le palmarès des meilleures partitions pour l’année 2018 selon les membres de l’International Film Music Critics Association (IFMCA) a été dévoilé ce jeudi 21 février. C’est ainsi Solo: A Star Wars Story qui ressort grand gagnant de cette édition en raflant trois prix en tout dont celui de la Meilleure Partition de l’Année (décerné à John Powell) et celui de la Meilleure Séquence Musicale (décerné à John Williams pour The Adventures Of Han). James Newton Howard est désigné Compositeur de l’Année grâce, notamment, à ses contributions à Red Sparrow (Meilleure Partition dans la catégorie Action/Aventure/Thriller) et Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald (Les Animaux Fantastiques : les Crimes de Grindelwald). De son côté, Amelia Warner est élue Révélation de l’Année pour son travail pour Mary Shelley. Fort malheureusement ni Alexandre Desplat ni Olivier Derivière ne parviennent à une première marche de podium. Le palmarès complet de cette quinzième édition est à retrouver ci-dessous.
